About FFunction Inc
Fab.com burned through 336 million in venture capital before pivoting and selling for parts. The flash sale design site raised 336 million from investors. Founder Jason Goldberg pivoted multiple times, from gay social network to flash sales to design store to custom furniture. Each pivot burned more investor money. The company was sold to PCH International in 2015 for 15 million in stock plus assumed liabilities. The Fab case became a cautionary tale about venture backed companies that raise too much money and pivot too many times. Fab burned through approximately 14 million per month at peak. Investors included Andreessen Horowitz and Tencent. The brand was eventually sold to a design marketplace.
